About Us
Based in Coventry (Midlands, UK), Qimugta are a small, show & working kennel of Canadian Eskimo / Inuit Dogs, occasionally breeding a litter with the aim of contributing to the progression & preservation of this relatively rare & very special breed.
My name is Sarah Atkins, and although I grew up around breeds of all shapes & sizes - including sled dog breed crosses - it was in 2013 that our foundation bitch Akira - HR / CAN GR CH & NED CH Akna Asavakkit** - came to join the family in co-ownership with breeder Racheal Bailey, and things changed forever.
From here, not only did Akira in her own right go on to make Qimugta a known name in the UK show & working scene, making breed history in the process, but she has passed on her type and strength to her progeny, producing willing workers and successful show dogs - it is with pride she is behind all Qimugta breeding today.
We currently live with three generations of CED - Akira, Daughter Peech & Granddaughter Harpa (see 'Our Dogs' to learn more about them).
